The Sleepness Kingdom (อาณาจักรยังไม่ตื่น) was published by Volcano Cries, a small and independent Thai publishing house based in Bangkok, on 2018. The author is Tossapol Boonsinsukh (Tossapol B.), a former filmmaker, and a member of the coconut cream music band. The book has 57 pages and it was written in the structure of Choose Your Own Adventure Book Series. It’s a gamebook that allows the reader to participate in the story by making choices. But actually, for this book, it has no choices.

My job was to create one A3 size illustration for this book. It would be published as a kind of a poster seperated from a book. When it comes to a gamebook, I have to play, of course!

I started with a huge map that created from my chosen pages. I drew a house, a forest, a tower, a square, a blue lake and a green one, many of cages, and a great wall. It was fun to take an adventure through this book but it was sad a little bit at the same time because the ways stories end. As I told you before, it had no choices. : (
