“Aurora” is the Latin word for “dawn”, and also refers to the goddess of dawn “Eos” in Greek mythology. For me, the boundary between day and night is blurred, it is the overlapping moment where various shades of light altogether show multiple colors in the sky.
「アウローラ」はラテン語で夜明けという意味で、ローマ神話の夜明けの女神の名にも なっています。私にとっての夜明けとは光と空の色が重なりながら変化していく昼と夜の境界を指します。

“Aurora” เป็นคำในภาษาละตินแปลว่ารุ่งอรุณ และยังเป็นชื่อเดียวกันกับ Eos เทพีแห่งรุ่งอรุณในตำนานเทพปกรณัมกรีก สำหรับฉันมันหมายถึงช่วงรอยต่อระหว่างกลางวันกับกลางคืน ที่แสงและสีของท้องฟ้ามีความแปรเปลี่ยนและเหลื่อมซ้อนกัน
“Aurora” also refers to my muse, a fresh and shining little girl who makes me impressed by her charming childish cleverness.

「アウローラ」はこのセットの作品のミューズである小さな女の子の名前という意味合いも兼ねています。その子は子供ながらの快活さと賢さを代表するような存在でいつも私の心を動かしています。

“ออโรร่า” ยังหมายถึงชื่อของเด็กหญิงเล็กๆ คนหนึ่งซึ่งเป็น muse ให้แก่การทำงานชุดนี้
เธอเป็นตัวแทนของความสดใสและความเฉลียวฉลาดแบบเด็กๆ ซึ่งมักทำให้ฉันประทับใจอยู่เสมอ
Not only Aurora, in the past couple years I am interested in observing other children’ movement. Their fast growth amuses me in a particular way and becomes the source of my inspiration to collect those unforgettable memories in the format of art which has no concrete interpretation.

私は、アウローラの女の子のみならず、この2-3年数人の小さな子供の動きに興味を持って観察してきました。その子らの成長のスピードに不思議な気分にさせられました。それがきっかけとなって、その面白い時期を記録したいと思うようになりました。その記録は解釈が自由な絵にしようと思っていました。

ไม่เพียงแค่เด็กหญิงออโรร่า ในช่วง 2-3 ปีที่ผ่านมาฉันมีความสนใจเฝ้าสังเกตการเคลื่อนไหวของเด็กเล็กอีกหลายคน ความเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วของพวกเขาทำให้ฉันอัศจรรย์ใจ นี่เป็นแรงบันดาลใจที่ทำให้ฉันอยากบันทึกช่วงเวลาอันน่าสนใจเหล่านั้นเอาไว้ โดยการบันทึกนี้ฉันตั้งใจจะให้เป็นภาพที่เปิดกว้างต่อการตีความ

For my first collection of “Aurora”, I intentionally draw the captured moments of hand activities. They are not sign language yet the continual movement from the same or different situations. I cut them off from the contexts, rearranged the sequences. By turns they came out in resemblance to the short poems, offering diverse interpretations related to the readers (viewers) experiences. A shy-mannered hand could be reinterpreted as an introspective one, and an uncertain-like hand could be reinterpreted as the determination. These ambiguous yet open-for-interpretation drawings are displayed through monoprint process which the light and multilayer surfaces of colored pencils and oil colors referring to the sky at dawn.
アウローラ絵セットの第一弾として、手話とは異なったこれらの手の一瞬の動きを表現しています。同じ状況又は異なる状況での手の動きのつなぎ目を描写している絵です。その状況を抜きにして手の動きを並べ替えると結果として短い詩のように読者（絵の鑑賞者）の経験に基づいて幾分にも解釈できます。恥ずかしそうな様子の手もある人によっては物ふけっているように、迷っている手もある人によっては何かに集中しているように、見る人によって新しい解釈が生まれるかもしれません。この曖昧な動きでありながら解釈が自由な絵達は、太陽が昇る前の空に彩られた様々な色の薄く淡い光のように、色鉛筆と油絵の具の色の層が薄く重なっている表面に線画を転写するというモノプリントの手法で出来ています。このセットの作品を短く定義するならば、私は「夜明けの手」と呼ぶでしょう。
สำหรับภาพออโรร่าในชุดแรกนี้ ฉันมุ่งนำเสนอภาพ moment ของมือ ซึ่งไม่ใช่ภาษามือ (sign
language) แต่เป็นภาพช่วงรอยต่อระหว่างท่าทางของมือซึ่งเคลื่อนไหวอยู่ในสถานการณ์เดียวกันหรือต่างกัน เมื่อตัดบริบทออกไป แล้วนำท่าทางของมือมาเรียบเรียงใหม่ ก็ได้ผลคล้ายกับบทกวีขนาดสั้นที่อาจตีความหมายให้เป็นไปได้หลายๆ อย่างตามแต่ประสบการณ์ของผู้อ่าน(ผู้ชมภาพ) มือที่เขินอายอาจจะกลับกลายเป็นมือที่กำลังครุ่นคิด มือที่ลังเลก็อาจถูกตีความใหม่ว่าเป็นมือที่กำลังมุ่งมั่นทำอะไรบางอย่าง โดยภาพท่าทางที่คลุมเครือแต่เปิดกว้างต่อการตีความเหล่านี้ได้ถูกประทับเป็นร่องรอยลายเส้นผ่านกระบวนการพิมพ์ monoprint ลงบนพื้นผิวที่มีการทับซ้อนกันของชั้นสีไม้และสีน้ำมันอย่างเบาบาง คล้ายแสงอ่อนจางหลากสีสันบนท้องฟ้าก่อนพระอาทิตย์ขึ้น
I would like to give the unofficial name to this first collection of Aurora as “The Hands of Dawn”. หากให้นิยามงานชุดนี้สั้นๆ ฉันคงจะเรียกมันว่า มือแห่งรุ่งอรุณ
